When can I get my car picked up?
Once a vehicle is posted for shipping, it normally takes anywhere from 3-10 days to secure a carrier and get the vehicle picked up. Vehicles can be setup on a RUSH basis, please call to find out how.
How long will it take for my car to get to its destination?
There are many factors that can affect the length of time it takes to ship a vehicle (carrier’s route, traffic, weather etc). We will do our best to provide you with an estimated time of arrival based on the vehicle’s to and from locations.
Can I get a guaranteed pickup date or delivery date?
There are too many variables outside our control to make it possible for us to guarantee and exact pickup date or delivery date. If given the appropriate amount of time we should be able to meet your needs.
How does the payment work for this service?
The payment works like this: Once your vehicle is picked up and on the carrier we charge approximately 1/3 of the total amount to your credit card. And then when the vehicle arrives at its destination the balance will be due to the driver, either c.o.d. or a cashier’s check. Total pre-pay with a credit card can be arranged as well for a small clerical fee.
Can I pay the whole amount on my credit card?
Yes, we can make arrangements to pay the entire amount on your credit card for an additional clerical fee. Be sure to advise us when setting up your transport if you wish to do this.
Is there anyway to get my car picked up on a RUSH basis?
Yes, we are able to set up shipping on a rush basis, however we will not be able to guarantee an exact pickup time.
Is there a cancellation fee?
You are allowed to cancel your car shipping request at any time up to the point that your vehicle has been picked up by the transport truck. However, if cancelled within the period of 24 hours before the earliest pickup date, to 5 days after the earliest pickup date, we will charge a $100 cancellation fee. If cancelled earlier than 24 hours before that date, or later than 5 days after the date, there is no cancellation fee.
Do I have to pay extra for insurance?
No, all insurance is covered by the carrier.
What is the coverage amount covering my vehicle?
As required by the DOT, all carriers carry the maximum coverage allowed. This full coverage insurance protects your vehicle in the event any damage occurs.
Do I have to be there when my car gets picked up / delivered?
No, you personally do not need to be present when the vehicle is picked up or delivered.
Can I put personal items in the car to be shipped?
No, by law we are not allowed to transport personal effects, therefore by doing so we would be breaking the law. We are not liable for any lost or damaged personal effects that are left in the vehicle during transport.
Will my car be driven by anyone?
The vehicle will be driven onto the carrier by the truck driver. It’s also possible that the vehicle will need to be moved at points during transit to move or make room for other vehicles. Your vehicle will remain on the same truck from pickup to arrival.
Should I prepare my vehicle in any way?
Yes, it’s important that you remove all personal items as these are not covered by the insurance. You should also clean and inspect the vehicle completely to familiarize yourself with any pre-existing damages. Check lower front bumper (curb scrapes), windshield and glass (rock chips), interior (stains and tears) etc. You can also photo the vehicle prior to pick up (i.e. 4 corners + front and back interior). That way you have documentation of the vehicle prior to pick up. Also, leave no more than ¼ tank of gas…less weight and safer.
What if there is damage to my vehicle when it arrives?
The driver will have an inspection sheet that notes any prior damage when the vehicle was picked up. You should note any new damage on that sheet and get the driver's signature agreeing to the new damage. That will protect you in case of future dispute. The carrier’s insurance will cover any new damage found with that documentation. Once you sign off on the vehicle arriving as shipped with no new damage, you lose your right to claim on their insurance. Tip: try to avoid receiving your vehicle at night or in poor light so you can do a proper vehicle inspection.
